will need 3 fabrics:
Muslin &
2 Prints
Make eight 3" half square triangles from the muslin
and eight 3" half square triangles from one of the prints
Make four 3" half square triangles from the muslin
and four 3" half square triangles from the other print
You will also need four 3" square of your muslin
Arrange and sew according to the diagram
Your block should measure 10 1/2", including the seam allowance
