| "Lugano to Zurich" is second in a series of quilts by Karen Hanken of TopStitch. The quilt has been accepted in the Tactile Architecture 2004 Special Exhibit of the International Quilt Festival, Houston, November 4-7. Karen transfers her digital photos to the computer then "collages" them to form her original artwork. Her quilt contains no paper piecing or raw edge techniques. The first
of Karen's "series" traveled to the Netherlands and has just
returned "home"! Make it a point to see these exceptional
quilts. You won't be disappointed. It may be awhile before "Lugano
to Zurich" is back in the Rogue Valley. ~
